Eric: This is Must-Know Mexican Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 13. In this lesson you'll learn Expressions to Describe Someone you Truly Dislike.
Eric: Be sure not to use these in front of the person you are describing!
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Eric: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Laura: sangrón, sangrona
Laura: fodongo, fodonga
Laura: naco, naca
Laura: caer gordo, caer gorda
Eric: Laura, what's our first expression?
Laura: sangrón, sangrona
Eric: literally meaning "someone that bleeds." But when it's used as a slang expression it means "unbearable, overbearing, mean."
Laura: [SLOW] sangrón, sangrona [NORMAL] sangrón, sangrona
Eric: Listeners, please repeat.
Laura: sangrón, sangrona

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to describe someone as overbearing in an arrogant manner to the point of being annoying. It also means that someone is mean. Be careful when you use this word, because older people might get offended.
Eric : Now let's hear an example sentence.
Laura: [NORMAL] No seas sangrón, prestame tu celular. [SLOW] No seas sangrón, prestame tu celular.
Eric: "Don't be mean, lend me your cellphone."

Eric: When it's used as a slang expression it means "untidy person."

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to describe somebody not only as lazy, but with a messy appearance.

Eric: "My sister is lazy on Saturdays."
Laura: [NORMAL] Mi hermana es una fodonga los sábados.
Eric: Okay, what's our next expression?
Laura: naco, naca
Eric: When it's used as a slang expression it means "low-class person with bad taste."
Laura: [SLOW] naco, naca [NORMAL] naco, naca
Eric: Listeners, please repeat.

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to point out that someone has bad taste. Be careful when you use this word, because it is always offensive and in some cases it is used to disparage indigenous or low income people. This word can also be used to describe an object that is in bad taste.
Eric : Now let's hear an example sentence.
Laura: [NORMAL] La gente naca usa ropa muy llamativa. [SLOW] La gente naca usa ropa muy llamativa.
Eric: "People with bad taste wear flashy clothes."

Laura: caer gordo, caer gorda
Eric: literally meaning "fall fat." But when it's used as a slang expression it means "to dislike."

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to express that you dislike someone or something. The feeling expressed is that of someone not sitting well with you.
Eric : Now let's hear an example sentence.
Laura: [NORMAL] Él me cayó gordo por ser tan sarcástico. [SLOW] Él me cayó gordo por ser tan sarcástico.
Eric: "I don't like him because he is so sarcastic."
Laura: [NORMAL] Él me cayó gordo por ser tan sarcástico.
