Hi everyone! I’m Alisha.
Welcome to Conversational Phrases!
We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you good at?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to talk about what you’re good at doing.
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!
Listen to the dialogue.
¿En qué eres buena?
Soy buena en idiomas.
Once more with the English translation.
¿En qué eres buena?
“What are you good at?”
Soy buena en idiomas.
“I'm good at languages.”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you good at?”
That's: ¿En qué eres buena?
Listen to it again: ¿En qué eres buena?, ¿En qué eres buena?
This Spanish sentence literally translates as “In what are you good?”
But it means “What are you good at?”.
Now, how do you answer this question?
The pattern is:
Soy bueno/a en [skill].
I'm good at [skill].
For example:
“I'm good at languages.”
Soy buena en idiomas., Soy buena en idiomas.
