Becky: Using Adjectives. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to use adjectives in simple sentences in Spanish.

Becky: Here’s the way a male speaker would say “I am American.” in Spanish.
Laura: [Normal] Yo soy americano.
Becky: First is a word meaning “I”
Laura: [Normal] yo [Slow] yo
Becky: Next is the word meaning “am”
Laura: [Normal] soy [Slow] soy
Becky: Last is the word meaning “American”
Laura: [Normal] americano [Slow] americano
Becky: Listen again to the phrase meaning “I am American.”
Laura: [Slow] Yo soy americano. [Normal] Yo soy americano.
Becky: Ok, now let’s take a look at the way a female speaker would say “I am American.”
