I live in the United States. When I was a child in elementary school we celebrate Columbus Day. We had a song
We sang about the trip. I can almost remember it “sailed the ocean blue” was part of it.
He was brave because at that time he sailed the people believed the earth was flat. He believed that the earth was round like a ball. When my teacher asked who thought the world was flat I was one of the few in my class raised his hand saying that the earth was flat. You can not always believe what you see.

Vivo en los Estados Unidos. Cuando yo era un niño en la escuela primaria celebramos el día de Colón. Teníamos una canción Cantamos sobre su viaje. Casi puedo recordarlo. “navegó el mar azul” era parte de ella.
Fue valiente porque en ese momento que él navegó más las personas creía que la tierra era plana. éL creía que la tierra era redondo como una pelota. Cuando mi profesora preguntó que pensó que el mundo era plano Yo era uno de los pocos que en mi clase levantó su mano diciendo que la tierra era plana. No puedes creer siempre lo que ves.
