Hola Peg,

Thank you for your comment.

"alérgico" is masculine and "alérgica" is the feminine adjective.

If you are allergic to all seafood then you should say "Soy alérgica a los mariscos." and if it's just molluscs then you should say "Soy alérgica a los moluscos."

Sigamos practicando!

Do you say “soy alérgico a” something if you are female or is it “alérgica”?

Also I am allergic to molluscs (e.g. clams) but not things like shrimp - how do I get that across? It is a shame because I really like fish and seafood but often have to avoid it as I not sure the waiter has understood and the effects are very unpleasant!

Thanks

Peg

Thank you so much for this lesson! My son has multiple food allergies, so it's great to learn how to talk about them in Spanish.
