Hola Enrique,

Thank you for your questions.

1) โ€œleโ€ is tu emphasize you are the one doing the action โ€œecharโ€.

2) You can use โ€œespereโ€ to be polite and โ€œesperaโ€ for casual.

Hello everyon, I'm new here, could you please help me to answer these two questions, it's so confused to me

1) Why do we add the word "le" after echar ?

2) Why do we use espere instead of espero ?

Thank you a lot for your help

Whilst I am enjoying SpanishPod101, it seems that it is simply made up of many clips from many different courses. They certainly do not appear to have been made exclusively for SpanishPod.

It is frustrating that there is no consistency. For example we are told to listen to the audio, read the lesson notes, and then both together.

But not all lessons have notes?

Why not?

I struggled with figuring this one out when I first watched the video. I thought the chick (niรฑa) asked if I was a woman (mujer) and I said no. I then found out that it involves a woman and employee in a bookstore and a woman wanting a car (carro) book.

It's easy enough to guess the answer to the question, but to follow the dialog properly required decent intermediate Spanish.

While it's good to get exposed to more difficult conversations, if someone thinks they should be able to understand most of the conversation it would be off-putting.

This lesson introduced lots of words I've not heard before. Combine that with going really quickly left me without a clue what was being said. Even when things were being repeated with text, they moved too quick. I didn't have time to read the Spanish try to understand then read the English to confirm my understanding.

So this lesson is far too advanced for beginners level 1.
