Hi, everyone, I’m Yesenia from SpanishPod101.com. In this video, we’ll be talking about Top 10 Phrases You'll Need for a Date. Let’s begin!
PHRASE 1
[Normal] ¿Te gustaría ir a cenar conmigo? [Slow] ¿Te gustaría ir a cenar conmigo?
"Would you like to go out to dinner with me?"
Ask this to someone you would like to go on a date with. Don't feel discouraged if he or she says they are busy. You can always ask when they are free!
PHRASE 2
[Normal] ¿Estás libre este fin de semana? [Slow] ¿Estás libre este fin de semana?
"Are you free this weekend?"
Some people prefer to be asked this question as it gives them the opportunity to politely decline without hurting your feelings.
PHRASE 3
[Normal] ¿Quieres salir conmigo? [Slow] ¿Quieres salir conmigo?
"Would you like to hang out with me?"
Although it literally means "Would you like to hang out with me," many use this question to ask if you would like to date them.
PHRASE 4
[Normal] Eres tan linda. [Slow] Eres tan linda.
"You are so cute."
This sentence is in the feminine form, but if you want to tell a boy that he is cute, then say lindo instead of linda. So, Eres tan lindo.
PHRASE 5
[Normal] Te ves genial. [Slow] Te ves genial.
"You look great."
Say this to a girl or boy to make them feel good about their appearance.
PHRASE 6
[Normal] Fue una gran noche. [Slow] Fue una gran noche.
"That was a great evening."
By saying this at the end of the date you let the other person know that you had a good time.
PHRASE 7
[Normal] Te llamaré. [Slow] Te llamaré.
"I'll call you."
If you say this to someone, they will expect your call.

[Normal] Voy a llevarte a tu casa. [Slow] Voy a llevarte a tu casa.
"I will drive you home."
In Mexico it is considered polite to offer a ride to your date.

[Normal] ¿A qué hora nos vemos mañana? [Slow] ¿A qué hora nos vemos mañana?
"What time shall we meet tomorrow?"
This question uses the verb "vemos," which literally means "we see (each other)." It is commonly used to mean "to meet."

[Normal] ¿Puedo verte de nuevo? [Slow] ¿Puedo verte de nuevo?
"Can I see you again?"
Your date will know you are interested if you ask this!
PHRASE 11
[Normal] ¿Vamos a otro lugar? [Slow] ¿Vamos a otro lugar?
"Shall we go somewhere else?"
You can ask this when you don't feel comfortable or feel bored in a place.
PHRASE 12
[Normal] ¿Qué opinas de este lugar? [Slow] ¿Qué opinas de este lugar?
"What do you think of this place?"
Ask your date this to make sure that she or he likes the place.
