Becky: Welcome to 3-Minute Spanish Season 1, Lesson 2 - Greetings. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to greet someone in Spanish.
Becky: Here’s the way to say “Hi” in Spanish.
Laura: [Normal] Hola
Becky: This expression has only one word meaning “Hi”
Laura: [Normal] Hola [Slow] Hola
Becky: Listen again to the word meaning “Hi.”
Laura: [Slow] Hola [Normal] Hola
Becky: Ok, now let’s talk about how you say “Good day.”
Laura: [Normal] Buen día
Becky: First is a word meaning “good”
Laura: [Normal] buen [Slow] buen
Becky: Last is the word meaning “day”
Laura: [Normal] día [Slow] día
Becky: Listen again to the phrase meaning “Good day.”
Laura: [Slow] Buen día [Normal] Buen día
Becky: Next up is the way to say “See you.”
Laura: [Normal] Nos vemos
Becky: First is a word meaning “us”
Laura: [Normal] nos [Slow] nos
Becky: Last is the word meaning “see”
Laura: [Normal] vemos [Slow] vemos
Becky: Listen again to the phrase meaning “See you.”

Becky: Finally, here is a way to say “Goodbye.”

Becky: This expression has only one word meaning “goodbye”

Laura: Don’t worry too much about what greeting to use in Mexico, because no matter the formality level of the situation you can always say Hola and Adiós, to say “Hello” or “Goodbye” respectively.

Hi, not sure if I understand "buen día" correctly ... is it a phrase you use if somebody leaves and you wish them a good day further or is it something you would say to say hello to somebody (like "¡Buenos días!")?

I am looking to learn Spain Spanish, how do I go about finding that? This video and a few others say, Mexican Spanish.
