Can you make some sentences using the words you learned in this video?

Hola Paul,

If you want to use “mirando” then we need to say “esta mirando”, but just “mirando” is not the correct conjugation for this sentence. “mirando” is a gerund form which is use for continuos actions. This is why if we want to use “mirando” in this sentence we have to put it together with a verb “esta”.

Hola Carla,

Gracias!

In the original sentence, can it also be “mirando,” or just “mira.” I was trying to say “The professor stands while watching the football game . . . ” You corrected “mirando” to “mira,” as in “while he watches,” can it only be in that form, or is mirando also possible there? (And yes, Francia rather than Frances  )

Muchas gracias por su respuestas, otra vez.

Hola Paul,

Good sentence, but please check the falling corrections.
El catedrรกtico estรก de pie mientras mira el partido (o juego) de futbol entre Francia y Portugal.
Yes, it can also be “is standing” both, present and progressive.
Yes it’s correct “viendo el partido de futbol”
“partido” means “match” and “juego” means “game”
Depending the context this can interchangeable.

Don’t worry, I can handle it. :sunglasses:

El catedrรกtico estรก de pie mientras mirando el partido (o juego?) del futbol entre Frances y Portugal.

The professor stands [or, “is standing”] while watching the football game between France and Portugal.

This can also be “is standing,” correct? estรก de pie can be present and present progressive? And is is possible to say “viendo” like “mirando,” “seeing” the game as well as “looking at” the game?

Varios veces, he aprendido ambos “juego” y “partido,” por “game” or “match.” Cuรกl es la diferencia?

demasiadas preguntas, lo siento!
