Learn Spanish with SpanishPod101.com! Today Alan and Lisy have the final part of this lesson on mathematics in Spanish, where we’ve been listening to Profesor Puga and his students, Mariana y Eduardo. This situation is particularly useful for an important reason. It’s one that everyone can imagine being in. One of the things that’s interesting about studying simple mathematic equations in Spanish is that the “meaning” of the sentence is understood. The fraction is understood: 30/5=6. Thirty by five is six. Five goes into thirty six times. In this lesson, we look at how carry out equations of division in Spanish. Check out the learning center for more lesson specific and general reference tools…You’ll be surprised just how helpful it is!

Learn Spanish with SpanishPod101.com! Join Alan and Lisy for Part 3 of our installment on Math. In today’s lesson conversation, we’ll hear Professor Puga, again with Mariana and Eduardo, go through some multiplication questions and answers in Spanish. This lesson is really useful and, come to think of it, very easy. If we think about a saying like “two tickets per person”, we can see that what we’re really saying is “two tickets” times “one person”. Now, if we think about this word “per”, we’ll see that it is very, very similar to the Spanish word “por”, which can be used in the same way! Check out this lesson to see exactly how this works.
