If you are interested in learning more about the Spanish language and culture, then SpanishPod101.com is for YOU! Our program offers something for everyone, from the seasoned speaker to the absolute beginner. The audio lessons and rich collection of accompanying resources in the Learning Center are designed to take you from completely fresh to fluent on your own terms. There is currently learning material for 7 different courses, and we’re constantly growing.

Newbie Series

These lessons are geared towards the absolute newcomer, who’s making first contact with Spanish. In this series, we introduce the essential basics of the Spanish language to give you the strong foundation you need to continue on to our beginner series. In this series we cover a large amount of vocabulary, so it could also be used as a refresher course. This Series is also useful for people who studied Spanish a while back, but have not been putting it to practice. While some of the content here may be review, you’ll be surprised how much you can learn, even at this basic level.

Regional Series

These lessons bring the Spanish-speaking world to you! Spanish is a very widely dispersed language, spoken throughout many parts of the world. As a result of this, many different regional forms have arisen and are clearly distinguishable. While other courses try to hid this fact, our Regional Series addresses them as in undeniable reality. Whether you want to attend a flamenco show in Spain, drink Pisco in Peru, or relax on the beaches of Costa Rica, our regional series will take care of you by explaining the regional variation spoken in each of those hot spots. With lessons coming from Europe, Central and South America, we give you a good idea of some of the major differences between these forms. Created to be cross referenced with our Newbie series and with each other, this series will have you speaking like a native in no time flat.

Beginner Series

These lessons are designed to introduce basic Spanish with the end goal of enabling the student to substantially increase his/her listening and reading comprehension skills. The beginner level course is designed to cover the basic grammar along with hundreds of frequently used vocabulary words. Also, in this series, you’ll hear more Spanish spoken by the hosts, with English translations of course, and you’ll also get an insider’s look at Hispanic culture, customs, idiosyncrasies. At SpanishPod101, we believe that language should be learned via culture, and culture via language.

Lower Intermediate Series

When students are ready to take their studies to the next level. Spanishpod101.com is prepared to accommodate them. The Lower Intermediate Series is perfect for those who already have a solid foundation in Spanish and feel they are ready for more advanced material. With the Lower Intermediate Series, the amount of Spanish in the lesson in relation to English is drastically increased. It offers a more thorough look at the information covered in the lower levels of our courses and is perfect for those that feel the Newbie and Beginner series may be a little light. Covering complex grammar topics, this series is designed to immerse students in the language, get them used to hearing grammar explanations in Spanish, and, overall, to get the students comfortable with the idea of expressing themselves in Spanish.

Upper Intermediate Series

This series, like the Lower Intermediate Series, is mostly in Spanish. There are some English translations, but at this point, students should be ready to learn Spanish in Spanish. The grammar topics covered here surpass by far those of the Newbie and Beginner Series. Here, we pick up where the Lower Intermediate Series leaves off. In this series, you learn how to express complex ideas and emotions, hypothetical situations in different tenses, in a word, by the end of this series, you’ll be comfortable speaking at length to any native speaker about anything!

Advanced Audio Blog

These audio blogs feature native Spanish hosts talking about various topics at normal speaking speed and are designed to provide listeners with exposure to long passages of natural Spanish. No matter your level, listening to these broadcasts while reading the transcripts on the site provide an excellent chance for the listeners to get their ears used to natural Spanish. Listen, review and then interact by commenting in a totally Spanish environment.

Phonetics Series

This series focuses on the basics of Spanish. It has everything that people would like to skip but we all know we shouldn’t. These topics are important to anyone who really wants to lay down a solid foundation for their studies. It may seem simple, but the most important things in learning usually are. What’s so valuable about the Phonetics Series is that, once you learn the basics of Spanish pronunciation, you’ll find that it’s a lot easier not only to speak, but also to understand native speakers.

Verb Conjugation Series

Anyone learning Spanish will soon recognize the importance of learning verbs! With 18 different ways to conjugate each verb, it’s absolutely essential to dedicate an entire series to this study. This is one of the most sequential series of our course. Beginning with an introduction to the study of verbs, we walk you through each tense, and show you how verbs in a given tense are used and also how they are formed. This Series also features Premium Audio that helps to reinforce topics covered in each lesson to help students retain the content. With this series, you really learn how the language works and how to make it work for you!
