As my New Year’s resolution is speaking Spanish, I’ve tried to find out which method/teaching is suitable for my Spanish learning style. At the first time, I took a Spanish class with a Spanish professor. It’s quite good, but not flexible for me because I’m a PhD student, usually, my working time is quite odd. So, I have to miss many classes which my Spanish skills are not improved. When my friend introduced SpanishPod101.com, I tried it. It’s fantastic! It’s not only great Spanish lessons from podcast, but also I can put them to my iPhone and learn them anytime, anywhere. Moreover, the Spanish podcast, equipped with scripts, that I can improve my Spanish skills: reading, listening, pronunciation, and my vocabulary banks, rapidly and efficiently.

I have completed Spanish to the upper intermediate level using both iPhone and computer. I think the ability to practice speaking with microphone reinforces ability when coupled with listening to native speakers. I’m leaving for South America soon and that will be the ultimate test. This program is comprehensive and easy to use.

Thanks for everyone’s work on SpanishPod101. I have many tools for spanish; audiobook programs, iOS apps, podcasts, but SpanishPod101 is my favorite tool. I’ve used the Pimsleur Spanish program in the past, but found the lessons a bit too long. SpanishPod’s lesson time is perfect for me. Long enough to get the content, but not too long to lose my attention. Compared to other programs, it’s a much better value for the money.

It’s hard to believe that you can learn so much in only 10-20 minutes! The podcasts are packed with vocabulary, dialogue, grammar, and cultural insight! No wonder this podcast is so popular!

SpanishPod101 is an awesome customizable podcast. There are podcasts based on different difficulty levels which is great for someone like me who has a basic knowledge of Spanish but still wants a challenge. There is so much content on the website. A lot of stuff is free, but if you pay for a subscription, you get a lot of cool extras. This podcast is great for all types of learners and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to learn or brush up on their Spanish.

SpanishPod101 is very good. Their hosts are pretty fun, although Natalia speaks a bit fast for some people, I prefer it that way. Hear Spanish from a native Spanish speaker of course. But what makes SpanishPod101 so different from other podcasts is that they have an extremely comprehensive website. If you stop by their website, you’ll see that they offer much more in terms of content than a lot of other Spanish learning sites. My favorite is the grammar bank and the conjugation charts. The grammar bank is an explanation of a certain grammar point in Spanish, but what’s cool is that it’ll link you to all the lessons they have where they go over that specific thing. So you can hear different dialogs and even different explanations of that thing. The conjugation chart is also very helpful as it has all the conjugations you need in Spanish. All in all, excellent course with extremely comprehensive materials. Highly recommended!! Take it from, I’ve tried them all.
