Eric: This is Must-Know Mexican Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 2. In this lesson you'll learn Common Slang Expressions Used by Young Adults.
Eric: Be aware that if you are over 35, it might sound awkward to use these.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Eric: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Laura: a morir
Laura: no manches
Laura: rola
Laura: crudo, cruda
Eric: Laura, what's our first expression?
Laura: a morir
Eric: literally meaning "until death." But when it's used as a slang expression it means "very much."
Laura: [SLOW] a morir [NORMAL] a morir

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to express that there is "a lot" of something, mainly used with feelings.
Eric : Now let's hear an example sentence.

Eric: Okay, what's the next expression?

Eric: literally meaning "do not stain." But when it's used as a slang expression it means "no kidding, oh my god."

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to express disbelief or surprise in a very informal setting.

Eric: "Oh my God! How could you eat so much?"

Eric: When it's used as a slang expression it means "song."

Eric : Now let's hear an example sentence.

Eric: "I learned to play a new song with the guitar."
Laura: [NORMAL] Aprendí a tocar una nueva rola con la guitarra.
Eric: Okay, what's the last expression?
Laura: crudo, cruda
Eric: literally meaning "raw." But when it's used as a slang expression it means "hangover."
Laura: [SLOW] crudo, cruda [NORMAL] crudo, cruda

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to say "hangover". It is also used to describe someone that is hungover. Remember that “cruda” is the feminine word, so a man with a hangover would say "crudo".

Eric: "Tacos in the morning help with the hangover."
