Learn Spanish with SpanishPod101.com! You and your roommate are shopping in the grocery store in Spain, when suddenly your roommate wheels your cart onto the snack aisle. You tell your roommate in Spanish, “No! I thought we were going to try to eat healthier. There’s nothing good for us on this aisle!” Your roommate responds in Spanish, “What’s the point of only eating healthy things? We should eat healthy most of the time so we can enjoy an occasional treat.” You reply in Spanish, “That’s a slippery slope, my friend. For example, when have you been able to eat just one potato chip? Or just one cookie? It’s not possible!” Your roommate tells you in Spanish, “Then you don’t have to eat them…just leave them for me!”

¡Hola, queridos oyentes! Howdy, dear listeners!

I have a question to start discussion, (extra points if you answer in Spanish, but English is great too!)

¿Qué te gusta comer de tentempié? What do you like to eat as a snack?

Yo no debo botanear a menudo, por diabético. Pero me encantan los Triscuits con queso cheddar… Mmmmm! I’m shouldn’t snack so much, because of diabetes. But I do love Triscuits with cheddar cheese!

¿Y a ti?

Ya me las comí todas.

Why the ‘me’? Is it wrong to omit it?

Buen pregunta, WordReference.com dice chocolate negro o chocolate amargo

http://www.wordreference.com/es/translation.asp?tranword=dark%20chocolate

Para decir “snack”, hay varias palabras…

tentempié (No sé donde viene esta palabra)
Botana, bocadillo (Mexico ?)
merienda (España)
pasabocas (Columbia)

No sé cuál es lo mas comun.
