Learn Spanish with SpanishPod101.com! Well, you made it through an entire day without frantic calls from nannies locked inside cupboards or tied to chairs! Could you be dreaming…could you have finally found the perfect nanny? Almost afraid of what you might find as you walk in the door, you slowly push your way through to find your nanny standing in the hallway unscathed. You tell her excitedly in Spanish, “I have to be dreaming!” A littler nervously, she replies in Spanish, “I have to tell you something.” Somehow, you knew it was too good to be true! You begin to search frantically for the kids as the nanny tries to explain in Spanish, “We have to find them…they are hiding.” Why is the nanny so nervous then? What is going on?! You HAVE to find out more! This nanny has to explain why she is so nervous, so you ask her in Spanish, “You have to tell me the whole truth about what is going on!” Nervously, she explains in Spanish, “Well, we were playing hide and seek and they had to hide…but I didn’t HAVE to find right away…right?” Learning Spanish with SpanishPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Spanish! This Spanish Newbie lesson will teach you all about using the periphrasis to talk about obligations in Spanish. Then we will talk a little bit about games children play in Latin America. Thanks for a great lesson! Very practical. I can use “tienes que practicar” and “ella tiene que hablar ingles” with certain students in my class.
Oh, and I used to love hide and seek, too.
