What you can expect out the Newbie Series Season 2:

1) Non-sequential lessons
. This means that we’ll be filling in the gaps in order to offer you an even more comprehensive approach to the study of Spanish.

2) Student Requests. Let us know what you’d like to learn and we’ll make it a reality. Remember, we’re not teaching for our own sake; but rather, for yours. So, give us your input and get results. That’s just what Kevin did right here in the Forum, and, as per his request, Upper Intermediate Lessons 1-5 will focus completely on how to negotiate a contract in Spanish!

3) Premium Audio. We’ve rethought our premium audio and will now be offering:

a) the Dialogue in Spanish
b) a Bilingual version of the Dialogue
c) a Review track, just like we’ve been publishing in the Regional Spanish Series
d) a phonetic breakdown of the vocabulary list
e) the “tarea” (homework).

The homework is designed to encourage students to take the extra step and apply what they learn in the lessons by translating phrases and sentences from English to Spanish and vice versa. Homework will be assigned in the Main Audio and answers will be given in the Premium Audio.

Do you have a topic for a lesson conversation or a grammar point, which you’d like us to cover? Just let us know in this thread of the Forum and we’ll work it into the curriculum.

Also, don’t forget about 2 for 1 Fridays all throughout August!!! That’s right. We’ve just got too much going on here to simply publish one lesson per day. Keep your eyes open to see who joins Kathy and Ana’s Lower Intermediate Series on the Friday spot.

¡Saludos y suerte!

I just wanted to say that I really enjoy all of the levels and lessons. The everyday nature of the conversations and explanations is very helpful. Thanks!

Elizabeth,
Thanks so much for the kind words! It’s great to know that we’re reaching our audience. Sometimes we wonder… Seriously though, if there’s anything you’d like us to cover specifically, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Thanks for listening,
Joseph
