Learn Spanish with SpanishPod101.com! Today, we have our 18th installment of the Peruvian Regional Series, the only place online to learn how Spanish is spoken specifically in Perú. Join Bea and Joseph for this lesson about the rainy season in the Amazon. Here, we’ll go over some new vocabulary and the use of the reflexive verb “acostumbrarse” (to get used to something). Spod101 brings the Spanish-speaking world to you! Don’t forget to reference this lesson with Newbie Lesson 18, Iberian Lesson 18, and keep an eye out for the upcoming Costa Rican Lesson 18 as well.

Thanks to Kevin MacLeod for the music used in today’s lesson.

Have any of our users ever gotten the chance to go the Amazon rain forest? It is truly one of the most amazing places on the planet. It can also be one of the rainiest places in the world. Hope this lesson helps to give you some new material when discussing wet weather.

Great lessons, with a lot of interesting local information.
As always a grammatical question ;-)
You talked about reflexive verbs and the different position of the pronoun in European and Latin American Spanish

me tengo que acostumbrar - Latin American
tengo que acostumbrarme - European

the meaning is the same, isn’t it?
