I'm so glad you are enjoying the Iberian series. I thought I'd post the text of the Quevedo poem that we referenced in the lesson.. Quevedo is a great writer from the Siglo de Oro (Golden Age of the 1600s). Aside from his writing and brilliant intellect, he's known for his biting (and sometimes quite nasty) sense of humor. This poem is actually a biting burla (mocking) of a contemporary poet, Luis de Góngora, another Spanish Golden Age superstar that he had many poetic "rumbles" with.
